Thanks for this one - something I'd have steered well clear of in a record shop, but I actually like it a lot!

I only knew the name of the producer behind the Bardi Blaise single Tony Wood through Sarah Brightma's 'Love In A U.F.O.' which is one of my all time favourite 'novelty' space disco tracks..so I was very interested to come across this.

According to Discogs, the instrumental version of the track Trans Siberian Express

"features an instrumental version of the A-side with lyrics and instructions where to send your own version to join in the competition to win a day in the studio with Tony Wood"

Just had a listen (and what a great track it is!) but could not hear any instructions! Maybe it is time for the headphones and a closer listen!

Great post by the way...another gem rescued from the memory hole!

32 years after first hearing this track on John Peel's night-time Radio 1 show, I've finally found this track again.

Brings back many happy memories of my teenage years - thank you!

Hi everyone, I am in fact Tony Wood who wrote and produced 'Trans Siberian Express'.
Bardi Blaise was a name we came up with for Beverly Byrd, my partner ans vocalist. It was supposed to be a spoof on Modesty Blaise! My proudest moment with this track was when John Peel played it on Radio 1.
